MOMENTUM IS WHERE JEWISH COMES TO LIFE
Momentum Unlimited is an internationally run organisation with local partners in over 30 countries that exists to facilitate a Year-Long Journey for women that connects to Jewish values, engages with Israel, empowers them to take action, and fosters an approach of unity, without uniformity.
The journey begins with an 8-day experience in Israel to explore our Jewish homeland, takes in inspiring Jewish wisdom from exceptional educators, and joins a global Jewish sisterhood of other women participating in the programme at the same time. The journey continues back at home with monthly educational learning sessions, community involvement and social events organised through ORAH SYDNEY

WHAT IS MOMENTUM?
Momentum Unlimited (formerly Jewish Women's Renaissance Project, JWRP) began in 2008, when eight Jewish women based in the USA, from different walks of life, affiliation, observance and age, got together and decided it was time to empower and inspire the Jewish mother for her own well being and that of her family and community.

Connect To Jewish Values - Living our lives through the lens of Jewish values fuels meaning and impact for ourselves and those around us. Momentum’s Core Jewish Values are unity, generosity, peace and wholeness in the home, dignity, courage, faithfulness and trust, gratitude, and learning and growth.
Engage With Israel - A relationship to the land, the people, and the State of Israel is integral to our Jewish identity and history. Our global sisterhood is strengthened by a powerful connection between our sisters around the world and our sisters in Israel.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?
Any Jewish parent of school age children ready to invest in their spiritual growth and connect to a more meaningful Jewish life. The core MOM-entum programme is designed for mothers currently living a disconnected Jewish life, do not keep Shabbat and feel a desire to reconnect to their Jewish roots and community. Priority is given to anyone that has not been to Israel. The programme is heavily subsidised hence an eligibility criteria must be met to be accepted on the programme which includes an in person interview with Orah Sydney and successful completion and scoring via an online Momentum application form.
HOW MANY PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM?
Currently ORAH SYDNEY take up to 18 women through the program each year and 5 men. The women and men programmes are not run in conjunction with one another. When in Israel, the Sydney group shares a bus with other groups from around the world. Up to 200 women are on the one programme in Israel at the same time. Positions are determined based on meeting the above eligibility criteria.
OVERVIEW OF THE 3 PROGRAMS:
MOMENTUM WOMEN - this is heavily subsidised program sponsored by Momentum Unlimited, Orah Sydney, and the Israeli Department of Diaspora affairs offered to mothers with school age children under 18 years old. Out of pocket expenses are incurred by the participant including return airfare, some accomodation, local education levy, tips and other miscellaneous expenses. MOMENTUM MEN - an 8 day life-changing journey - "a boot camp for living awesome lives guided by Jewish values." You'll be led by world-class Jewish educators & Israeli thought-leaders. Learning continues back in Sydney with monthly meetings and new connection to a fabulous new network of like-minded men.
MOMENTUM GRAND - a new program that offers any women the opportunity to apply for what is a luxurious mind, body and soul experience in Israel, staying in 5 star accommodation, hearing from Israeli thought leaders, being inspired by top Jewish educators, and savouring the very best culinary delights that Israel has to offer. This programme is non-subsidised and includes women in the group from all over the world.
